-
Assessment - a detailed self-assessment of style, motivation, skills and internal barriers that are collected in a Career Portrait.
-
Investigation - information about companies, industries, the economy and businesses that address the Web as an effective information source. This area finds opportunities within organizations that may not be advertised and provides useful Internet sites as well as extended bibliography of useful books for development.
-
Matching - a detailed exercise that helps translate assessment results into position and skill/competency development.
-
Professional Development - the final development targets where the development plan is written.
O*Net Career Interest Inventory The O*Net Career Interest Inventory helps individuals explore jobs in the U.S. Department of Labor's O*Net database based on interests. The assessment will ask for likes and dislikes of various activities. Based on the scores, the individual will identify career areas that match interests and will identify specific jobs to explore.
O*Net Career Values Inventory
The O*Net Career Values Inventory helps individuals explore jobs in the U.S. Department of Labor's O*Net database based on work values. The assessment will ask the individual to sort work value statement cards by each value's importance. The process results in scores for six major work values that will be used to identify career groups that tend to include these values and to indentify specific jobs to explore.
John Holland's Self-Directed Search

This assessment will also help individuals who are considering second careers, who are returning to school or those who who are questioning the suitability of their current career or job.
