Piedmont Geriatric Hospital (PGH), operated by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS), is a 123-bed psychiatric facility dedicated exclusively to serving individuals aged 65 and older.

We are seeking a clinician to provide psychiatric evaluation and onsite coverage for geriatric (65+) public sector patient population. This position will work primary hours of 8:30 am-5:00 pm. This position provides on-call as needed psychiatric services on weekends and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications

-Must possess an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or obtain one prior to the start of employment
-Medical degree and completion of an ACGME-approved residency training in Psychiatry prior to the start of employment.
-Current DEA controlled Substance registration/licensed or obtain one prior to the start of employment.

Additional Considerations

Prior Geriatric/Psychiatric Hospital experience.
Board Certification preferred but board eligible accepted.
