***Special Announcement***

Executive Order 41(2015) reforms state hiring practices by removing questions regarding criminal history from employment applications. The Order directs that criminal history shall not be a determining factor in employment decisions, unless an individual’s criminal history bears specific relation to the job for which they are being considered.

Banning the Box from the state application requires a systems modification. which will be implemented on April 21, 2015 with the launch of our upgraded online Recruitment Management System.  During the interim, our current employment practice of considering only those convictions that are directly related to job requirements will continue.      .
